If you hover over the image it will explain, usually. Today is Gregor Mendel’s birthday.
Peas and genes! Yay, Mendel!

Thank you both! I thought what the logo means would be common knowlege, and I was trying to figure out the puzzle..
The g’s and y’s are supposed to be the traits in the peas for green and yellow
This is making me hungry for pea soup!
I thought this was about Wicca…oh well, pea soup it is!
Gregor Mendel was a man who basically founded or “cam up with” the recessive and dominant gene traits. He took pea pods and expirimented on them to actually show his procedure. He took one tall pea stalk and one short pea stalk and cross generated them. Four outcomes appeared and three out of the four were tall. The fourth was short. So, he found that the short stalk was a recessive gene trait with that class of plants and found that the tall stalk was the dominant gene. I learned that in 6th grade.
In somewhat less “smarticle” words, today is Gregor Mendels birthday, the guy who came up with recessive and dominant genes.
@flo Even if you don’t hover over it, if you click the logo it will do a search for you related to the subject.
