Help finding friends on facebook?

You can use the advanced search.

At the very top of your Facebook page is a search bar. Punch the name of the person you are looking for in that space, then do not hit enter – instead click the little magnifying glass.
This should bring you to a page where you can filter. Choose the option on the left to filter by “people.”
Then it should bring up menus that will allow you to punch in the additional information you have in order to narrow the search.

Granted, this all depends on how their privacy settings are arranged. Some people may not want anyone to search for them, so they may not show up regardless of how much information you have.

For the life of me I cannot figure out a way to enter a school or city, and also someones name. A couple years ago you could do it, before all the changes. Hopefully someone on this Q will know what to do.

1. Type the name you’re looking for in the search bar.
2. Click the magnifying glass.
3. Filter to “People”
4. Add filters and fill in fields as needed.

@JLeslie I’m not sure about additional information. In the past I have just included it in the search bar along with the name, but that doesn’t always work.
