Why does the small bottle of worcestershire sauce have an expiration date, but not the big one?

Asked by Aethelflaed (13755points) July 20th, 2011

And is this an expiration date I should pay attention to, or just one to get me to buy a new bottle even if I don’t need it?

Not sure why, but this will be helpful.

Excellent link @jonsblond All I really wanted to know is that worcestershire is safe for an indefinite period of time because I have it and rarely use it. I think my current bottle is 4 yrs old and I added it to a recipe last week.

I’m not dead, so there’s the clinical trial that proves the hypothesis.
