Is it common for tvs to make popping noises when turned off for a while?

I think the sound is coming from my tv, but it’s turned off. Has been for a while today.

What does this mean? It’s not new or anything so I guess it’s considered old. It’s a box tv.

My limited knowledge is thinking the capacitors are breaking. If that is the case it is beyond reasonable repair.
