What does it mean to have recurring dreams?

I can only guess that it’s somehow indicative that you’re worried or concerned about your mum but I can’t say if the other details about the dream would necessarily tell you all that much… I have recurring dreams too but over the years I’ve regarded them mainly as signs that something is unresolved in me and bothering me at some level.

Cliff signifies life changing decision
Cone idea or feeling
Rocks are stubbornness and fence signifies that this stubbornness is the barrier to the decision
Balancing the need to make a choice
Dark water suggests that there may be negative emotions or clouded judgement
Sunset is the end of cycle or condition

With all that together what I’d say is that you are going to have to clear your mind and set aside you stubbornness, to help your mom make a life changing decision that will help end a dark cycle or condition that is impacting you both. Or vice versa but I feel like its that way since you had to go to here and cross those barriers.

It will, i just didn’t understand what it meant and it was bugging me.

It means you are trying to get a solution but you never find one. Relax.

Sometimes it depends on which part of the dream stood out most. Was it the rocks, murky water, fence or ice cream or sunset.
Rocks could mean either she or you are taking risks by standing on rocks by a cliff.
Murky water, confusion, or dark feelings, or danger because you can’t see through it.
Fence, either you or your mom is putting a barrier between you two.
Balancing icecream, you think she is being unreasonable (or you really like icecream but your mom won’t share)
waiting for sunset but it is cloudy. You feel things may never work out between you and you mom. The sun will never shine, and since she is unreasonable, the sun will never set.
