How on earth do people finally and completely delete facebook messages?

Asked by Aster (20028points) July 25th, 2011

So they put an “X” after a message to click so you can delete it. These are intelligent people. They put the x there for our convenience. so I X out a post and…. it remains. Is it me? Or has not one other person on the planet noticed this? How do I delete messages on my facebook page FOREVER?

I’ve never had that happen. You click the X, it asks you if you want to delete it, and it’s gone.

I agree with @Blackberry. Did you try refreshing?

they are always there after I do it. What is refreshing? How is that done?

@Aster Refreshing makes sure the page is up to date – if you don’t refresh you might be looking at an old version of the page. Just press F5 when you’re looking at your internet browser (this is for Windows, don’t know what it is if you’re using a Mac).
