If it’s like robmandus first link: No, some things are simply unattainable.
I want Tom Cruise to come to dinner…....he’s hilarious!! Imagine the entertainment!
But to answer this Q: I personally don’t think you can manifest your thoughts, but your thoughts can motivate you to achieve set goals.
Within certain limitations. A guy I was dating once insisted that I had to continue seeing him because I had come to him as a result of an “intention” that he had “sent out into the universe”.
I never called him back.
@nikipedia
I think I would’ve made the same choice…..
Yes! Read The Law of Attraction.
if you have high standards for that ideal love, your SOL, because nothing is perfect.
I don’t think you can manifest your thoughts and desires to get what you want in life just by thinking and desiring them.
I do think you can take action and do something about it.
I think that concrete, positive thought can impact success at achieving goals and desires in several ways:
1. By thinking about and focusing on something, you attract it into your sphere of being.
2. More prosaic, perhaps, but a tool’s a tool, scientific research shows that if you write down goals, they are significantly more likely to come to fruition.
self-fulfilling prophecy + working really hard for what you want
I believe that focus and attention can help you get what you want, but wishing for something never makes it come true.
Absolutely.
Desire begets thought. Thought begets action. Action begets results. Simply wanting something—even thinking about something—doesn’t make it happen. It is simply the first (necessary) step.
It sounds like you are talking about this
Ah yes! The Secret is very cool!
I am working on attracting a new job. I have put my thoughts out into the universe, so it will happen very soon! My future new boss hasn’t even seen my resume yet, but he says I can have the last weekend of July off to go to Miane with my SO for his family reunion. How cool is that?
I am going to work at a major bio-medical lab making more than I do on my present job, and have tons of great benefits…YAY!! I just have to wait until the universe tells my new employer!
I have to admit, I’m a little put off by the whole Law of Attraction, Cosmic Ordering thing because it just seems so unlikely. But I definitely believe most people are more in control of their circumstances than they think. There’s a great free e-book here by James Allen. It was written in 1902 but this version is annotated, explaining some of the more archaic words and phrases. It’s a very down-to-earth book but it genuinely does provide an opportunity to change yourself and your life for the better. No miracles, just common sense and a sprinkling of philosophy.
