Why do some actors or actresses seem to appear in so many commercials?

I am thinking specifically of this woman. She is in that commerical for Metamucil, this one for esurance, and this one for 1–800-DENTIST.
It appears that this woman is named Suzi Barrett, and is supposed to be a sketch comedianne. She also owns her own advertising agency.
Does it distract you when you notice the same person in several different ads? Why does this bother me more than, say, radio advertising, which has several people in many different commercials? Does it matter in the commercials above, where the actress is playing someone with similar characteristics, and facial gestures?

I would guess it is pretty easy and fast money.
Id say its probably because a. they like her look and style and b. she likes to get paid by acting in commercials.
I usually assume they need the money. It surprised me that Henry Winkler was doing commercials directed at the elderly refinancing their homes. I believe Robert Wagner was doing the same.
Celebrity endorsements are much different than this.
I would say it has a lot to do with the actor’s representative’s ability to get them gigs. Working actors have agents to represent them in the industry, and it’s the representative’s job to get as much work as possible for their client since they get paid by percentage.
Having said that, the actor’s talent also has a lot to do with it. Sometimes it can just be the way they look coupled with talent. Acting in advertising is just as difficult as acting on stage or in movies. It may be shorter, but it’s still work.
Because they have a good agent. I have noticed the same girl.
Sometimes it’s because they can’t get acting parts, so they fill in the empty time with commercial stints. Sometimes it’s because they really believe in a product, so they agree to advertise it on t.v., like Cindy Crawford and her “amazing” melons——a face cream made from a super melon.
It’s pretty good money plus residuals (every time the ad is played, the actor gets some money.) I find the ones that are annoying are annoying in every ad they do and I click them off as fast as I can. They may be popular for a while and fade. They may get cast in a movie and go on. . . . or not. It’s an iffy business. Older, well known actors may do an ad for the money because they aren’t working as much as they once did, or they may want a little extra for a special something. Reasons vary, I’m sure.
There’s a Canadian actor/comedian named Gerry Dee who’s been in a bunch of commercials. I betcha any Canuck could pick him from a lineup.
There’s also another actor whose name I don’t know – he was in a Halls ad, and also Listerine ads dressed as a toothbrush.
It’s pretty distracting for me.
