Anyone else here sing out loud when they're by themselves? Does it make you feel good (it does for me)

When I am by myself (or with my partner), I love to sing out loud. I could sing for hours (and have). When my girlfriend and I go on road trips, we’re always singing. It makes the trip go by faster. :)
When I was from 7 – 10, I used to sing myself to sleep. :)

I do that. And it sounds really good in Manholes. Very echo-y
Only when the volume’s so loud I can’t hear myself. My voice depresses me..
All the time! Especially in my car. I have been singing my heart out when I pass someone and just laugh as I am sure they see this wild open mouthed look coming at them. lol
Infact, just a little while ago I pulled down my driveway and was singing to Men at Work, Land Down Under…and, if I am in the middle of a really good song I turn off the car and sit in my garage til it’s over.
It’s also funny because my corral is just off the garage where my geese live and my gander ‘Marwyn’ loves to ” sing a little”...he’s a rocker goose, and always gets excited when I am playing music and singing. His favorite is when I play my Djembe drum to Shaggys rendition of “Angel”...
” Shorty your my angel, yer my darlin’ angellllll…” haha
I belt it out when I’m driving, when I’m walking around campus, or when I’m crunk.
Only when I sing “Big Balls” “BUT WE’VE GOT THE BIGGEST, BALLS OF THEM ALL!”
I used too, and then my right arm attempted to hang itself. I then tried just singing in my head, my brain got sick of it, told me it had to go wander for a bit, and hasn’t been back since.
Often. Sometimes I like to yell and howl too when I’m alone at home. It’s a great relief. I sing in the shower too, like a lot of people. I like the “echo” sounds in the shower——magnifies my great voice. When there’s nothing good on the car radio, I turn it off and sing out loud while I drive. Lol.
I do that all the time lol, or at least I did. But now that I have a roomate it’s extremely rare. I also can’t talk to myself in different voices when I’m playing video games. Living with people sucks. I’m always just singing in my head now. I miss my days getting out of the shower and screeching away Cradle of Filth songs.
@Symbeline
I agree…living with people sucks. lolol
@Coloma It does. I wanna be on my own again. So I can sing and actually have a clean fuckin apartment. :/
Okay I’m calm, sorry. XD
I do it, mainly in the car with the music turned up… but sometimes when I’m on my bike or hiking if I don’t think anyone will hear me.
I do, I do… but only when I’m completely alone. It’s so liberating and uplifting- I love it! I used to sing to my kids until they got old enough to wrinkle their nose at me and stick their pudgy fingers in their ears. I’m terrible, but ironically, raised two songbirds.
Fuck yeah! Actually, I sing along with the radio with my windows down while I’m driving.
One night I was walking along the road (no street lights) with headphones on and singing the alto part of the Verdi Requiem. A group of 4 people came towards me chatting and went absolutely silent as I approached. I didn’t stop. I figure they probably couldn’t see who I was in the dark. And I didn’t give a damn anyhow.
Alone or with others, nothing can stop me singing, much to the despair of my family. If I had a dollar for every time my brother has asked for “Just five minutes! Five seconds of quiet!” I’d be able to move out.
I sing quite a bit too and love it. I almost always will sing along with a song I know comes on.
I love playing my guitar and singing alone for hours!
Pretty much all day long. I sang in the choir for 7 years, so I have an okay voice. I don’t prefer to sing for an audience, but I love to sing when I’m home alone. Good music is better when you can sing along.
Sometimes I sing loudly just to get myself in a positive mood or if I am a bit stressed. I love to sing loudly.
Yes.
With headphones on, one shell over the ear, the other one half over the ear (so I hear 75% Bowie and 25% rebbel).
That way it is as if my voice is as great as his.
All the time, as loud as I can, especially in the car and shower, the acoustics are fabulous in both places!
All the time. Driving in my car is my favourite time for a sing song.
Yes and yes. I love doing this! I also pound on the piano when no one’s home. :D
I think it’s part of our nature and we have engaged in it at least once in our life.. I used to sing to fuzzy pets (cats/dogs) they were always so attentive and never criticized my obvious lack of talent.
