Are there any watches like G-Shock that aren't as butt ugly?

Asked by rawrgrr (1568points) July 27th, 2011

I like the quality and the features of g-shock but they look disgusting. I love the solar powered feature and the durability but does anyone know of a brand that’s just as good (or almost) in quality and that has a similar price range? Thanks

This antique Omega watch is also anti-magnetic.

Here is a solar-powered watch.

My husband’s had one of the titanium Casio Pathfinder watches for a few years now. It’s dressy enough for him to wear to work. He loves the solar feature. He also loves the weather features, since he works out outside every day.

@marinelife thanks!

@SpatzieLover Wow i love it’s features but it’s still just as ugly (if not uglier). Any other brands?

I wish I knew which one he has. It isn’t as bulky or as heavy as the others I see on Amazon right now. I got lucky when I purchased it for him because some website (bluedial.com? or something like it) had an awesome special.

His is a mix between this watch and titanium bracelet type watch. His pathfinder may be discontinued or sold out…I can’t recall the Item number

I don’t know what you’d expect in looks from a watch that is solar and is a G-shock. I think you may be the type of guy that wants one dressy watch and one form/function watch.

Watches are rarely dressy and full of amazing “Boy Scout-like” features.

Actually now that i’ve done some searching, Citizen has some extremely beautiful watches! And almost all of them are solar powered and extremely water resistant. Unfortunately they’re a tiny bit pricier but I think that’s the closest ill get :P
