I still buy CD’s. When I go down to MontrĂ©al and I have some spare cash, I don’t miss an opportunity to get myself some wanted Industrial albums. I never download music, ever. I will look for and listen to artists on YouTube…welfare style, I know, but it works until I can find and get my own copy.

I also buy all my movies too, although some I may download, if it’s something I really wanna see but can’t find anywhere, which is often the case in my town. It might as well just be a forest lol.

But yeah. I never download music. Not for morality reasons, but rather preference, and not being on my computer while I’m enjoying music. I know there are ways to download stuff and then listen to it while washing your dishes or having sex, but I don’t know these ways and I don’t care lol.

I still make the effort to go out and buy a CD if it’s a band who I’m a huge fan of, or if the album comes packaged with additional goodies. IE, additional artwork, photographs, bonus tracks, etc. Also, album artwork is huge to me. If a band I love has a great cover, I’d be more than willing to pick it up for that reason. Especially if the CD comes in one of those cardboard sleeves, in which case I practically die.

If I’m a big fan of the band/artist I’ll buy a CD. Otherwise, I download.

Download. Purely for convenience as I carry around an ipod not a CD player. Even at home now I have deviced that will take my ipod or MP3 player through a USB connecter. Similarly, my system in the car works through portable stuff and so I never need CDs any more.

Although I did recently find all the Zeppelin CD’s that my (ex) best friend bought me and hugged them and kept them safe.

I download a lot, mainly because most of the artists I like are underground and you cannot find their cds in stores. Otherwise I love buying a CD if I know I will like the entire CD. Mostly when I buy a CD though, it’s from a used CD store, that way I save a little cash.

I download out of print music but prefer to buy music I like (directly from the artist) when possible.

Sometimes I buy CD’s and sometimes I download songs off the internet for free so I guess the better choice is to download off the internet that way it works out cheaper.

For me, CDs are usually cheaper. Plus, my experience of Australian download sites is that they don’t carry the range of music I like.

I buy CDs by bands I love, who deserve to make money off record sales. Other, random music I just download for free.

There are certain artists/bands that I will still by the CD’s for but the majority I just get from iTunes now.

Both.
I only download rare demos/albums or if I want to check a band out. If I like it, then I buy the CD, if I don’t, then I just delete it.

I dont believe in paying for music. Ill support artists I like in other ways.

A mixture of both. I buy some albums and download some songs from Amazon. If I go to a concert and want to get an album signed by the artist(s), then I buy the album at the concert.

I buy vinyl, but it’s pricey so I don’t buy it often. I do like having a physical copy of the music I really like, but I do download for the most part. If I really like them, chances are I’ll go to one of their shows if they come by, buy a tshirt, or buy their record. If I don’t, well then I wouldn’t be getting my money’s worth if I had spent it on their CD then would I?
Plus, it seems that a lot of the bands I like don’t really mind when people download their stuff, and some even encourage it.

I download. If I can’t find it available online I might buy a used CD.
