I’m learning how to release fear and accept love. It’s a process and is taking some time, but I’m not giving up until I’ve got it down pat.
Congrats @AshLeigh! I recently learned how to stand up for myself—it takes practice, but you know the old adage. I also recently taught myself how to paint on silk.
I sadly haven’t learned anything new lately! I know I know. I’m an anathema!!
just really happy for @AshLeigh. Swimming is so much fun. =)
I am learning how to say “I love you” to my boyfriend and my parents which is really hard for me, for some odd reason and you would think that it would be easy to say to your parents but for some reason I struggle with it and once I say it I feel really weird and then it gets awkward.
I’m learning how to speak french :D So happy!
Tu parles francais??? Excellent!!
@sarahhhhh Parfait. Tu es une etudiante magnifique!I know there should be an accent there….I’m just to lazy to find the key sequence for it!
@megzybrahh123 me too. I don’t say that phrase. heh. I bet it’s more common than you realize, but I’ve also been working on it lately. Good for you, and for your loved ones.
@ANef_is_Enuf Yeah I know but I do not know what it is that just makes me not want to say it and it is so easy to say but on the other hand thank you.
Just tonight, I figured out that I can charge my cell phone by plugging it into a USB port on my computer. Who knew? Probably everyone but me. :(
NICE AUGUSTLAN!!!!!!!! It really is true that a beautiful dog can learn new tricks!
I learned how to build a banjo out of a cookie tin, some scrap wood, nails and screws, some old Erector Set parts, and other sundry parts.
@Schroedes13 that’s my next-next project. After the electrified cigar box guitar, perhaps.
Oh, I don’t doubt you can. But it would be hard with the parts you mentioned for the banjo! lol
@megzybrahh123 I don’t find it very difficult at all: I love your parents. There, that was easy.
hahaha well @zen it is very difficult for me. If you were me (obviously your not) but if you were you would think it is difficult. Something just stops me from saying it but I have finally said it, which I am very proud of.
That is a very good question @AshLeigh and I have been learning how to do some new things at work but for myself, I can’t think of anything. I do have things on my list though and I really must make an effort to put some of them into effect.
Congratulations on learning to swim. That is a huge things. Well done!
I learned to make home made cinnamon rolls. They didn’t look very pretty, but they tasted great!

I learned new things [just info] about my whole family. A relative shared her insights about most of the members. I never knew these things so it was nice to hear them [or evne notice them].
Btw I never learned how to swim but I can’t stay under water for longer then 5 or 6 seconds. I just float around.[my body fat allows me to float]
I am learning how to stand up for myself, without being a bitch. Yeah, you can get in her face and talk with a stern voice, but you don’t need to hit and scream at her.
There is this girl on the volleyball team, it’s always off and on with us. Recently, she just got grounded and noone knows why. So, she walks into practice in a pissy mood, we ask her why and she freaks out in our face. Then, we me and my friend Sophie start talking about a 7th grader in our group that we practice with, she freaks out in our face and starts yelling at us. Then later she yelled at me for bring too loud. I didn’t stand up for myself sand just left it alone.
Need to stand up, aand I can’t be a pushover.
I recently learned how to make cheese.
I currently have a 2 pound wheel of cheddar as well as a 2 pound wheel of blue aging in my “cheese cave” (an old dorm room sized beer fridge converted for this purpose).
@Fiddle_Playing_Creole_Bastard – Way cool! An electric cigar box guitar is on my to-do list. I’d love to see your cookie tin banjo and/or instructions on how to put one together if you care to share it.

This morning I learned that what I thought I had learned last night was wrong. My phone only pretended to be charging. When I unplugged it, it was still nearly dead. Hmph.
@megzybrahh123 Do your parents say it to you? Have they always?
I have learned how to not feel so guilty when I tell loved ones I want something. Or, in other words, I am learning how to let people do things for me. In yet other words, I am learning to feel entitled to such attention. It’s really weird, now that I think about it.
Wow @sophiesword… how awesome… maybe we can practice together
