I’m moving out of state next month and looking for some mac games to keep me preoccupied on my downtime.
The app store on mac looks promising, but I don’t see any games that don’t involve blowing stuff up.
Are there any mac users out there who could recommend a game from the app store?
I’m not really interested in any RPGs or anything involving war and such… Thanks!

You mean besides Angry Birds?
Minecraft, OpenTTD, Rise of Nations, and Civilization IV are some of my favorites. Aspyr also has a few good games for Mac.
I have been playing Asphalt 6 a lot lately and it was only 7 bucks. And Plants vs Zombies is still good.
Portal 2, Splinter Cell Conviction, and Assassin’s Creed II are all great games, and they all have mac versions. They all require some somewhat beefy hardware, though, so make sure you have the specs to run them before you take the plunge.
Recently, though, I’ve been playing Frozen Synapse and it’s kind of amazing if you like strategy. World of Goo is charming as well.
I think Machinarium looks nice, but the demo is crazy complicated. I’ve already beaten angry birds (and seasons) on iPhone, so I’m not sure I’d like to replay it on the mac.
But thanks for the suggestions :)
You should definitely look into the Humble Indie Bundle that’s going on now. It’s a bunch of indie puzzley games for however much you want to pay for them.
I’d definitely recommend it.
