So dreams, see, are stored on an archaic recording technology called the phonographic record. These preceded CDs where were what stored music just before mp3s came out. But dreams, being a fairly old technology (over 90 years old, if you can believe it), are still stored in the old fashioned way. (They earned it).
Anyway, phonographic records were played on “record players.” Record players have diamond needles which are placed on the record and convey the vibrations encoded in the plastic to a speaker.
Dream records work in a similar way, except, of course, they play out in your dreams at night. There are only so many dream records to go around, so we all share them, and that’s why we all have so many similar dreams.
Anyway, records have this nasty habit that is called “skipping.” What happens is that one of the grooves in the record gets scratched and the needle keeps on skipping back to the previous groove, thus causing the sound to repeat over and over.
Dream records can do the same thing, and this is why you are experiencing the same dream over and over. What you need to do is jostle the needle ever so slightly, and the dreams will stop repeating, and you can move on with your life.
If you don’t know how to jostle your dream needle, I can recommend a good dream needle jostling service. They’re expensive, but worth it. Or you could keep on dreaming the same dream for the rest of your life. Your choice.
P.S. Dreams mean nothing. They are just random selections from the dream library. Interpret them at your own risk.
