Before wireless, a little thing with a tail pretty much looked like a mouse (more than, say, it looked like a frog).
Mouse, because it looks like one
the “bug” is interesting. It was in the early days of computing when a computer did not respond correctly and it was found that a bug had gotten into the circuits and died, and was shorting outt some of the circuits, any computer error is still refereed to as a bug.
Floppy Disk – They have a disk of recording material inside, and the originals were actually floppy.
Computer Bug – Actual bugs would get inside of the earliest computers and cause problems.
Trojan (malware) – From the trojan horse. It is a program that looks like it is a friendly program, but turns out to be evil when you run it.
Virus (malware) – It reproduces like one.
Worm (malware) – This term was first used in the novel The Shockwave Rider by John Brunner to describe a data-gathering computer program. I assume that he just used his imagination.
