Why is there never anyone in the Fluther Chat rooms?
They seem so empty all the time, yet the fluther community appears to be a strong one. What’s up with that?

It works better if you PM the people you want to chat with, so they know you are there.
A lot of us on here like to message our friends and schedule it. We don’t normally hang out in there unless we planned it.
I’m mostly there on weekends, and even so only if others are on. If you want, I’ll go there. :)
I was in last night with bob, venessuh, and symbeline.
There was a time about a month ago when the chat rooms had a boom. They went from being desolate, as they are now, to packed with 10+ people just about every day and night. After a while, the chat rooms became desolate again. I have no idea what happened.
If you do a question in Meta saying, who will join me in the chat room? You will probably revive it
I remember the chatrooms being busy during it’s early days (Around Jan 2010). Good times. As to why it’s dead, I dunno, the drama llama came and paid us a visit?
Q: Why is there never anyone in the Fluther Chat rooms?
A: @incendiary_dan is in there right now.
And nobody else, still! That’s why the chats are so dead half the time.
@augustlan won’t let me :-(
PM’ing someone is alot easier.
People run away when I go in them…:D
@FluffyChicken Augustlan is @mangeons mother and I’m pretty sure she doesn’t want her hanging around in the chat rooms because we tend to get a little racy.
I try the chat once in a blue moon, but I can never seem to jump into the conversation. Then I get bored and leave. Pretty much.
Because it’s rumoured that this is your average tw@room patron.
Yeah, i’ll pass thanks ;¬}
@ucme That guy’s computer is so hawt.
Yes, I believe the phrase, “he’s got a boner for it” is relevant here.
What the hell is that on the bottom, some ancient type of printer?
I reckon his internet connection involves an Indonesian dwarf & a treadmill.
