Often times, I forget I I’ll have a load of clothes in the washer and it’ll stay there for two days, tops.
Any suggestions on how I can remind myself to take them out?

My washer has a buzzer that reminds me. Does yours have one that you have turned off?
If the washer doesn’t have a buzzing timer, how about setting a kitchen timer? Another option is to stick a note on a mirror in your bathroom when a load is in the washer. Once the laundry is removed, remove the note and put it on the washing machine. It will be a reminder to repost it again the next time a load is done.
Put a sticky note on the toilet. Assuming you go more than once every two days.
Take off any clothes you have on….I doubt you will forget about the clothes in the drier in that state!
Sticky note as mentioned above, or maybe put a laundry basket in your favorite chair, or on your bed.
You could set an alarm on your cell phone for a time that would be convenient for you to take them out of the wash.
I fold a piece of paper in half, write DRY on it and put it at my place, with the folded side up so it’s standing there where I eat. I also put sticky notes on my car dashboard which may say “BANK” or “POST OFFICE” or what ever I’m likely to forget.
I either hang the laundry bag on a high traffic doorknob.
Or I also do what jonsblond does and set the alarm on my phone—if I know I’ll have it on me when it goes off.
I put on the stove timer.
Like @jonsblond said, use the cellphone timer. Write a message and set it for every hour until you get around to doing it. I use the cell timer for cooking as well. It rings, and the message tells me exactly what the timer was for.
Put something big in front of the washing machine (after you loaded it), so that it troubles you/makes it impossible to walk past it.
You could also place a rubber band or tie a ribbon around your wrist. It will be just enough out of the ordinary to keep you thinking of why it’s there.
Another alternative if you wear either a ring or watch on a regular basis, switch it to the other hand.
In years past (prior to cell phone) I would just switch my watch to the other wrist and that worked fine. Nowadays, I use my cell timer since my phone is always with me.
