Why exactly is it that cherry tomatoes taste so different from other tomatoes?
I can’t stand cherry tomatoes, but I love most “regular” tomatoes. The Romas, the Heirlooms, basically all adult ones you can find at the supermarket or Whole Foods. But not cherry tomatoes. So why do cherry tomatoes taste so drastically different that I actually dislike them?

I used to dislike them too.I think it is the excess liquid in them.
Try grape tomatoes instead.
I just picked a “Black Russian” tomato from my garden.I hope it tastes good because it sure doesn’t look good. XD
@lucillelucillelucille You know, I think I’ve had a Black Russian. A bit sweeter than I normally like (and I normally don’t like sweet), but otherwise quite delicious.
Without knowing, I figure it is because they do not hang on the vine as long.
uuummm…cause there are cherries in them? lol IDK, but I love all kinds of tomatoes!
I’ve wondered this too; I love grape tomatoes and can eat an entire carton of them in one sitting. I like regular tomatoes as well but I’ve always wondered why grape tomatoes are just so addicting. Maybe it’s because they have all the flavour of a regular tomato, just compacted into a smaller space.
I am totally guessing though.
