I’m not a guy, but they are pretty horrendous.
I think it depends on the outfit and the destination. Going to concert, etc yes. Running to the market, no.
Wearing something like that is like having a billboard that says, “I’m a party girl!” for better or worse. I think it’s trashy. It’s the kind of thing I might have worn as a teenager, sneaking into a nightclub with a fake ID.
I think they have a hippy look to them. I quiet like them on casual dressing along with poker straight hair. They never looked trashy to me.
People may find them trashy because that annoying keisha wears them… she needs a shower.
edit: sorry I’m not a man :P
Depends, I’ve seen it done in a really tasteful way… Of course that is not the usual case.
Done as an accent like the photo illustration you had, I say it is just fashion. It is not deceptive like a fake ponytail or other hairpieces that try to fool the viewer as to thinking it is the person’s real hair. I have seen piercings that were more gaudy and worse, some of those are truly trashy. I say it depends on how it is done, or if it is overdone
Tacky, keep it natural girlfriend ;¬}
It depends on a lot of things like where you are and your age and stuff, but if you’re under 22, you can pull it off. I do not care, but I know some men might.
My friends have them in their hair, and are very horrendous. <shudder>
I probably wouldn’t take a second glance, the things young lasses wear in the hair these days is no more different to what the lasses were wearing in their hair when I was in my teens, it’s just the current fashion, some people get, some don’t. As long as your being yourself why worry what others may think or frown on…. If you’re comfortable with it just do it…….. :-/
