Personally I am Franz Beckenbauer fan, not only as a player but did great work as a coach and as a football exec as well

Lets try and define what the best plays qualities should be.

Best relative to the plays of their time or best over all? Best as in scored most goals or something else?

Maybe how many goals you have is a bad judgement as you could be a good player for a bad team, so maybe another system I cant think of.

I’ll be able to tell you from my generation, Haven’t seen Pele play. I have seen Lionel Messi and he is a bloody King. Also I think Luis Suarez is a legend in the making. So talented and down to earth.

O Rei Pelé.

Johan Cruyff and Pele share first place.
Lionel Messi can throw them from their throne.
Cruyff didn’t win a World Cup, Pele won three, so Pele sits on the throne, Cruyff sits next to him on the ground.

Maradona….spits on floor.
Pele….viagra man.
Cruyff….@rebbel of course he never won a world cup, being Dutch & all ;¬}
Best….drunken Irish genius, waste of a talent.
Eusebio….Portuguese master.
Puskas….Hungarian class act.

Men’s or women? For women, Abby Wambach all the way! For men, I’d say Maradona because he fooled the world with the “Hand of God”.

The little bastard didn’t fool the England players on the pitch at the time, or millions of fans watching. Just the prick of a referee & his incompetent linesmen. Wounds still run deep Diego.

I could understand the pain from that, and the fact that it was so obvious, but he played it off like he just pulled off a sick goal. If I had to pick a current player that is amazing, I’d take Rooney. That guy is bomb! Took me a while to think of another player, just because I follow rugby way more than soccer. Now I’ve got one!

Rooney is a class act in the premier league but has yet to perform at a world cup, hasn’t even scored in that tournament as of yet.

Baggio or Batistuta

Maradona good; Pelé better; George Best.

How can you deny the genius of the toothless wonder, Jimmy Johnstone?

Bloody English…

If we’re going way back to the dark ages you gotta include the likes of….
Dixie Dean
Stan Matthews
Tom Finney
Duncan Edwards
Those played in an era when football was a sport for gentlemen. ;¬}
