Why do you think girls don't skate?

It has come to my attention that girls don’t skate (as in, with a skateboard). Well obviously there are girls out there that do skate, but I was just wondering why it isn’t a sport/interest girls generally get into. I realize it is mainly a male dominated sport, but I don’t think that it’s something that girls aren’t able to do. And I know it does come with some risk.
