How do I check the list of sites I visited in past 24 hours on Internet Explorer?

Asked by weeveeship (4665points) August 5th, 2011

I am doing research. I found a good site last night. However, in my sleepiness, I turned off my computer without bookmarking the good site. I don’t remember the URL of the site. However, the history, cache, cookies, etc. are still on my computer.

Is there a way I can look at a list of sites I visited the past 24 hours on Internet Explorer?

P.S. I use Windows 7, if it makes a difference.

Ctrl-H will bring up a History window (in every browser that I’ve used so far, including Exploder, FireFox and Chrome).

In addition to @CWOTUS ’ answer, you can try to type in a word in the search box which you think featured in/on the website that you visited.
Sometimes a word like that is also in the url of the site.
Like the url from this question www.fluther.com/127002/how-do-i-check-the-list-of-sites-i-visited-in/ contains words such as check, list, visited.
If you type visited in the search box (in Chrome there is a search box above the history list, don’t know about Explorer) it will find you your url.
