How much alcohol do you drink in an average week?
I usually have anywhere from 2 to 6 beers a night now. I’m 28 and didn’t even touch beer until I started living in a city in an apartment with drinkers when I was 24.

I’m from the @KatetheGreat school of drinking, way to much is my answer.
None since April 22, 1986.
None. A couple times a year if that.
At most, an ounce or two of red or white wine with my meal. And always with a meal, never by itself. I generally don’t like the taste of alcohol. I don’t know why a lot of people like the bitter taste of alcohol. To me, whiskey, vodka, gin, etc., those hard liquors——yuck.
Find a new routine or new friends before it gets to be more than routine. LITS to fuck it up with booze!
I flunked the @KatetheGreat school of drinking and drank none, I would rather run my tongue along the rim of the toilet 1st.
@Hypocrisy_Central I love how we have coined the “KatetheGreat School of Drinking. This could get somewhere. ;)
None to fun! lol
I may not have a desire for a drink for weeks, then, I might have a few several nights in a row.
I drink more in the summer, winter is hot chocolate and bedtime at 9. haha
@Hypocrisy_Central I would rather run my tongue along the rim of the toilet 1st.
Well said. I’m 37 and still dry as a bone.
In an average week, none.
It really depends on the week. I don’t know what would be considered “average” for me.
If I don’t go out in a given week, it’s usually none.
If I go out, it depends on my mood and how strong the bartender makes my drinks (I don’t like beer, so I drink mixed drinks for the most part). I’ve had nights where I drink only three or so drinks to nights where I’ve drank a liter of whiskey (the liquor of choice).
The number of drinks for this week was seven, but that’s the closest to a number I can give you.
Never had any.
Plan to change that in the not-so-distant future.
In a typical week, none. In an average week (say, averaged out over a year), about half a glass of wine.
I’ve had five glasses of wine so far this year, or maybe six.
Tonight, many. I use to make the bartender’s iced quad venti caramel machiattos so he said I was “the shit” and hooked me up with dos equis in a big girl mug. Before tonight, alcohol and I weren’t speaking because I was still Mac about my broken foot. But usually, once a month I go all out.
Four or five bottles of 9% beer per weekday, a little more on the weekends.
Oh you guys are making me thirsty.
@woodcutter nope. The Kraken is 94 proof black spiced rum and it’s DELICIOUS. They put those little rings on the bottle for a reason, because you’ll need something to hold on to!
I’d like to try that cock though. I mean… that bourbon.
wat.
@Fiddle_Playing_Creole_Bastard The “Cock” is like napalm in a cute bottle with a rooster on it. Go for it. A Pueto Rican dude I used to work with got me to try it. He called it “Fighting Kuk” The stuff will burn the skin out of your esophagus.
probably too much. two or three glasses of wine a day most days, some times a bunch of vodka and cranberry juice I come from a long tradition of pissheads
@Symbeline Me Too. I was thinking that, then I read your comment.
It’s a UK thing I believe. From Scotland, as I know of.
We need this in Canada.
It’s very sporadic. Most weeks none at all, This week I had a beer yesterday, and a glass of wine today.
I drink about 5 bottles of light beer per week.
I also had half of a glass of shamponya (that’s my phonetic spelling of the Continental’s pronunciation) yesterday.
I can go for weeks without drinking, and then have a glass of wine or two for a few days. I don’t drink much at all really though.
In an average week, zero. On special occasions…...lots!
When self pity meets self loathing, it’s too much and I’ll have my weeks when I’ll get a box of red wine (we get really nice stuff here..) and it won’t last me 5 days because I’ll stay up late, writing and drinking. Bad bad me.
But normally, I keep my drinking to the weekend. I’ll have two or three beers on a Friday night and then what ever is left on Saturday. At times, in the winter, I’ll get a nice red wine and have that on the weekend. Alcohol is very expensive here, so the good stuff only comes to the house when hubby has gone through duty free and he’s bothered to get something I like.
Six to eight beers a week. It would be more if it wasn’t so damn expensive.
A half measure of whiskey a day.
Used to be one or two glasses of wine every two weeks or so. Over the last six to eight weeks, it’s now a glass or two a night.
Reading this today makes me queasy.
In an average week, none. We have wine with dinner about once a month or so. At those times, I usually drink 2 glasses, unless it’s a wine I really like, then I might have more. ;)
In an average week, none at all. Last week, two pints of draught Guinness, nicely chilled, and one pint of Amstell.
Well I wouldn’t really call it “drinking”, butt do classic good old fashioned alcohol enemas count?
I have a shot of whiskey 6 out of 7 nights and sometimes have a glass of champagne or wine in it’s place, depends where I am.
How do I go about enrolling in the Kate The Great School of Drinking????
just hand over your soul and a bag of jumbo marshmallows and we’ll be on our merry way.
I’ll have the odd drink, say a couple times a month.
@downtide You ought to be able to make your own at home. I think that they actually sell kits.
@Nullo yes actually one of my friends owns a shop that sells those kits! It’s a complex process though, and it requires more space than I have at home.
A couple of glasses of wine a week.
