What health issues do you have?
Pretty clear question. Either you were born with and have to live with or just have to live with.

Ohhh this question is so up my alley. Only recently I went to the doctor for a whole bunch of health issues. They are not something I was born with though.
I have the worst sinus all year round. I am allergic to just about everything and my nostrills are blocked pretty much 90% of the time.
Another problem that is up and coming for me is severe back pains which my doctor tells me I shouldn’t be having at this age. I’m pretty worried about this… I work out and try and stay in shape so that later on in life I don’t have problems with my health :(
@sarahhhhh Ah I’m so sorry sarah! I don’t know about the others but back pain can be caused by scoliosis. My best friend has it and she had to get a surgery done it depends on how severe it is
Whoa. Scary. I’ll look into it though, thank you
@sarahhhhh My Dr put me on a corticosteroid nasal spray a few years ago for the allergies. I really wasn’t thrilled with the idea, but it really helped with the allergies.
well I get the worst period cramps. Trust me no one gets them like I do.
It starts of with a little pain in the stomach and my legs start feeling weird, then my cramps start and it feels as if a bunch of wild dogs are chewing down on inner lining and then finally to finish it of I get a horrible pain in my spine because of which I cant even stand up straight.
But this only happens on the first day.
@sophiesword I’m a guy so I’m not supposed to know this stuff, but fish oil supplements are supposed to help with the cramps.
@sophiesword I wouldn’t go that far but thanks. :) You have to take them for awhile but it really seems to work.
I think everyone knows about my chronic condition. I talk about it way too much as it is. It’s a brain chemistry disorder.
You can hardly read an answer of mine here on Fluther without hearing me bitch about it at least a little bit (sorry for that, really) but I’ll be a broken record anyway and tell you about all my various aches and pains. Aren’t you glad you asked?
I had ulcerative colitis starting at age 14, which is an autoimmune disease in which the immune system attacks the colon as though it were a virus. This causes the colon to bleed and not function properly. It’s very painful and debilitating, as I get anemic pretty quickly (which makes me very tired and unenergetic) and I don’t absorb your food properly and so I lose weight (I’m way too skinny). I lived with the disease for four years before deciding to have my colon surgically removed last January, which is a cure, albeit an imperfect one as the surgery is risky and your body never functions quite right again. But my life is so much better now and I wish I’d had the surgery ages ago.
And I’m susceptible to kidney stones. I’ve gotten maybe six or so since I was fifteen. They hurt but they’re not really a big deal. I haven’t gotten one in a long time.
Arthritis, high blood pressure, Barrett’s eosophagus, high cholesterol, osteopenia. But, hey, I still pee okay.
I am on daily medication for Thyroid malfunction, high blood pressure and high cholesterol, and restricted diet for pre-diabetes. I take calcium supplements and occasional medication for air borne allergies.
Right now, my biggest health concern is that I don’t get enough exercise.
I have a very mild case of Hirschprung’s and am overweight a bit.
I’m not born with anything particular, not that I know of anyways. However, I’ve been smoking since I was 14 and I’m a heavy drinker, and so these two things are definitely giving me some health issues.
My family does have a history of extremely bad eyesight though. I on the other hand, have escaped that curse. EVERYONE in my family wears glasses or contacts, ecxept me.
I’ve had shingles now for 20 years. It first appeared when I was 20. I usually get 2 or 3 outbreaks a year, most often on my arm but sometimes on my chest. Getting an outbreak can be very painful, and the itching is terrible.
@Adirondackwannabe I’ve tried that.. it was effective initially but after a few weeks it just stopped working on me.
Nothing serious yet (thankfully) but I expect to have a bad back in the future. My mother, aunt, and grandmother all have had back problems, and I can sort of feel it coming on already.
What about you, @QueenOfNowhere? You’ve hinted a few times at something going on. Of course if you don’t want to talk about it that’s fine too.
