How common is childhood pregnancy in your area?
This was prompted by the procreation comment. Around this area of NY state it’s out of control. The high school mascot should be a young girl pushing a baby carriage. Do you have any possible solutions?

Massachusetts ranks 43rd in pregnancy rates and 48th in birth rates (ages 15 – 19).
@lucillelucillelucille I think being a good or bad parent has little effect on keeping girls legs together and a boys pants zipped.
I know really great parents that are grandparents thanks to their under-aged kiddies.
Statistics for Canada can be found here. Ontario is a little below the national average, but the high rates in the Northwest Territories skew the average a little.
I think the best way to lower teen pregnancy rates is education and readily-available, free birth control.
I just graduated last year and already at least 3 girls I went to high school with (not a big high school either) are mothers. We’re not exactly children anymore but it’s still a bit early.
But I’m also an upstater so you already knew it was rampant hereabouts.
Pretty uncommon here. We’re the lowest county in our state and our state is one of the lowest in the Midwest. Sadly, I cannot say the same for teen drinking or drunk driving.
