Use the country specific ending on google, ie. www.google.fr for France – tick the third radio button under the search field which will give you results from France (not necessarily in French)
@wildflower How can I find out the abbreviations for all the countries in the world that google uses to specify each country, example: www.google.it for Italy, what about the rest of the countries, example Norway, Sweeden, and so on
try googling: international domain – or something to that effect?
A few that I know:
Denmark: dk
Sweden: se
Norway: no
Finland: fi
Faroe Islands: fo
Iceland: is
Ireland: ie
Germany: de
France: fr
Netherlands: nl
Spain: es
Italy: it
UK: co.uk
Australia: au
Russia: ru
Poland: pl
........can’t think of any more off the top of my head.
Try the Firefox extension User Agent Switcher to change the language the browser tells the website to use.
Come to think of it, perhaps you can also just add the language in Edit->Preferences (or Tools->Options if you are on Windows) under Advanced, in the General tab click “Choose” under Languages and just add the language to the bottom of the list. I think that would work too.
@ vincentt Very cool. That was going to be my next question.
