A teeny-tiny dog. Probably wearing a plaid coat.
Firstly a district in England. Secondly pudding.
Hills and dales, Yorkshire pudding, cricket.
James Herriot
also my daughter (she goes to uni there)
Pudding first.
The terrier second.
Pudding; terrier. I would have been much more original if I’d answered this first. ;-)
This place ,then the pudding, then the place in Great Britain and then the small yappy dog.
Green mountainous area filled with beautiful scenery, green air, and lots of farm animals. Also a yorkie.
For me it’s 1. The county of Yorkshire in Great Britain, 2. the small yappy dog 3. the pudding. And then I think of the Queen of England.
Good old England. The only legitimate authority over North America.
I think UK county first, then Michael Palin, then the pudding. The dog never occurred to me at all!
York in England, the tower in York, Terriers and pudding.
England, then dog, then pudding.
Pudding! Emm, God bless Yorkshire:)
1.Pudding (Delish!)
2.Dog
@Porifera I think you put the “delish” on the wrong line
Pudding shaped like a small dog, on a verdant hillside. ;)
Typical British meat pudding made from the flesh of small yappy pooches.
First, Yorkshire pudding (sorry UK, they’re utterly bland), and then the mind drifts to the annual War of the Roses competition. And yes, James Herriot books are a close third. They were so much fun to read.
1. My (late) doggy…that I adored.
2. Pudding.
3. A gorgeous area of England where the people are warm, friendly and real.
I used to make the pudding from scratch at a restaurant where I chefed.
@Pied_Pfeffer No way…fill them up with gravy and get back to us :)
1) Terrier
2) James Herriot
3) Lovely hillside farms
@Porifera Tried that. The first time I had one was at the pub across the street from the SO’s house. The roast beef and gravy was great, as well as my first Guinness. The Yorkshire pudding left something to be desired. The treacle pudding for dessert was divine.
There is nothing like a good Sunday roast dinner, eh? I mean, really.
@Pied_Pfeffer Ohh you’ll come around girl, I’m telling you…
@aprilsimnel Of course there isn’t. That’s common knowledge…duhhh.
@Porifera Maybe a decent squirt from the HP bottle would help the situation out.
@Porifera – But so many of my countryfolk just! don’t! know!
1. Roast beef, without which I never would have had Y pudding.
2. Shakespeare Didn’t the Duke of York live there?
3. England. Without Yorkshire, there’s never BE an England.
@Pied_Pfeffer If you get a chance, try Yorkshire pudding disguised as Toad in the Hole. The sausages make it much more interesting.
I am giving my answer without looking at anyone else’s first.
First I think of pudding, then the dogs, then the English countryside.
So first I was hungry, then I wanted to rub a wee widdle dog tummy, then I thought about Alan Rickman. ; – P
The dog wearing plaid would be a Scots Terrier!
When you say Yorkshire, I think Red Rose Vs. White Rose, tea, Sheffield, Leeds, Doncaster, rugby league, serial killers and flat caps. Friendly people and diaiect.
Headingley
Elland Road
Moors
Pudding
Terrier
Scary women
I know I’m going to regret this, but
@ucme…“scary women”?
It was meant as a compliment, for scary see feisty. Yorkshire gals know exactly what I mean. Regret? Pah!!
@Donald_Trump…Thank you for clarifying that. I can now rest easy.
Tea, Terriers and Emmerdale even though I can’t remember the last time I actually watched Emmerdale!
I think of Yorkshire Terriers and Yorkshire Pudding.
