How do you get Sally Hansen eyebrow wax off a plate?
I tried to do my eyebrows the other day and I must have left the pot in the microwave about 30 seconds too long. Ended up melting right through the plastic vessel and going all over the plate underneath. I managed to scrape most into the garbage before it solidified and got some more off with elbow-grease. There was some leftover though and I put it in the dishwasher and kind of forgot about it until my boyfriend ran the dishes tonight. It’s still running and I’m afraid to see what it’s going to look like when it comes out. :/ Will there be any way for me to get the rest off the plate once it’s gone through the dishwasher?

Did they put that little bottle of azulene oil in it? That takes it off.
Is it the kind you heat in the microwave, and it gets soft so you can apply it? If so, when the plate is hot you should be able to get it off. Either pill it out of the dishwasher once the dry cycle has started; or, put it in the microwave with a half a cup of water for a few seconds and take it off, be careful not to burn yourself.
Otherwise I would try Goof off. It usually works on anything sticky or gluey.
Don’t know if it will work with this stuff, but the trick to getting candle wax off of a plate (or out of a glass holder) is to stick it in the freezer overnight. After it is frozen it pops right off.
@YoBob Hey, that makes sense. Just the ooposite of what I said, but yours is more logical.
Generally, I just pour hot water over a wax spill when it’s on glass or ceramic not too hot of water to crack the plate/surface then I wipe up the mess.
Rub some cooking oil on it and then lift a side and peel off as much as you can. If the layer is too thin to peel then just let the oil sit on it and rub it off. Make sure to wash off all the oil before placing it back in the microwave to use or it will burn.
