What is the verb associated with asking a question at fluther.com?
Title says it all. Are you fluthering? Just fluther me? Have you fluthered that?
Or perhaps it's a base of fluth - Are you fluthing? Just fluth me? Have you fluthed that? Hmm.

I like the sound of fluthering, just because it's more fun to say. It'd be interesting to get the official word though.
If it is, indeed a verb, then you need all the parts: ie; sum, esse, fui, futurus. (to be, is, was, will be.)
So; fluther, fluth, flauth, fluthurus, assuming that it is irregular. Fluthering would be the gerund.
Oops. That is sum= I am, esse= to be. Showing off always gets me into trouble :-(
Well. Since a fluther is a swarm of jellyfish...I'm not sure theres an official verb. Unless it means to "form a swarm of jellyfish" lol. As far as the website I'd say... Fluthering.
Didn't know that, Perchik - now I understand the whole theme of the site a lot more d-:
Perhaps, then, we ARE the fluther, and to ask a question of the fluther is exactly that - not fluthering, but asking the fluther.
Are you asking the fluther? Just ask the fluther? Have you asked the fluther that?
I thought you tap the collective?
gsiener - well that's more of a tagline, I thought.
I like fluthering. Got to begin fluthering right now. Let's go fluther--I have a question that must be asked--and answered. Time to fluther.
I agree with gsiener, I think tapping the collective is how you retrieve information.
The proper usage could be: Go ask your fluther.
The phraseology is implied in the site definition of "fluther" as (a group of jellyfish which)
rhymes with "mother" or "brother". Surely, then, this is the correct verb form:
"Go ask your fluther".
@susanc; your fluther is always right. lol
From the “What is Fluther?”-page: “The more you Fluther, the more personalized your questions become.”
I like Tap the fluther – tap being the verb. Tapped the fluther in Past Simple.
If fluther is the verb, then the infinitive “fluther” is, imho, a Regular verb, thus:
To Fluther; Fluthered, Fluthering.
Asking the collective a question is also good.
