What can you do with an overripe Plucot?

Asked by wundayatta (58741points) August 14th, 2011

Plucot? Pluot? Plumcot? I have four or five of the things. I didn’t know what they were supposed to be like, so I bought some that turned out to be way too mushy. Is there any way I could use them productively, or do I have to wait until John Boehner drives by so I can throw them at him?

I’d make a nice plucot jam and enjoy it on something crunchy.

I’d plant them.

If they’re not rotten make a crisp.

I always heard it as “pluot.”

@janbb I read an article once that said there are different names for different strains of the combination. I think they vary by the portion of each fruit that is in the combination.

@wundayatta Cool – that makes sense.
