There is a website called TasteKid that could help you. You might enjoy The Escapist. The one with Brian Cox, not the one with Jonny Lee Miller. I’d recommend Leverage for TV shows.

The Prestige is a good film, wouldn’t be surprised if you’ve already seen it. And Memento, you gotta see Memento

If you liked Tremors, I could suggest a couple of cool eco horror films for you. But that depends on if you’re interested on the genre as a whole, or similar creatures and settings as in Tremors. (which is hard to top, good movie)

If you liked Fight Club, check out Trainspotting. It’s a similar style, and the soundtrack is awesome. The two authors who wrote the original books have a lot of stylistic similarities, though I think Welsh has a sharper sense of humor, while Palahniuk focuses more on gross-out.

@filmfann yea that’s pretty good too but my favorite is with love from Russia!

The Machinist
City of God
American History X

No. Too easy. I would recommend something that is also good but not along the kind of movies you mentioned. If you get intrigued enough to give it a chance and ended up liking it, I’ll be proud but if you tried then feel you wasted your time, then don’t give me any lurve points. The movie is from Japan and entitled, “Departures”.

Sounds like you need a dose of some motherfucking Kurosawa. Check out Ran, Seven Samurai, and Throne of Blood for starters.

I second ”Reservoir Dogs”, ”Godfellas”, and ”Apocalypse Now”.
I would toss in:
”Road to Perdition”.
”A.I. Artificial Intelligence”.
”Godfather I & II”.
”A Perfect World”.
”Children of Man”.
”Righteous Kill”.
”Boys Don’t Cry”.
”the Crow” (the first one).
”Enter the Dragon”.
”Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon”.
”The Car”.
”Christine”.
”The Day the Earth Stood Still” (Original).
”Doubt”.
”The Lover”.

My husband and I just finished watching Kill The Irishman

It’s based on a true story about an Irish mobster in Cleveland during the 70s. Great cast, including Christopher Walken. You might like it. It’s one of the better films we’ve seen recently.

Shawshank Redemption

The Green Mile

Misery

The Other Sister

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels

I second Road to Perdition & the Godfather, Pulp Fiction & LA Confidential. I could come up with more…but I’m off to bedsville soon ;)
