Don't be chicken. Please tell me your favorite pieces parts pieces.

Hey, don’t cry foul – it’s not really a poll-try question.

I mean sure, I’d lurve to know if you’re a wing-man, or enjoy a nice thigh. Perhaps your more traditional and go for the breasts, or maybe march to the beat of a different drumstick. Either way, tell me your favorite parts of the chicken – and, what’s more…how do you like it prepared?

Bar-B-Q or Buffalo; Grilled, Baked, or Fried? Sure it’s all good, but what do you consider really yummy?

and vegetarians…no need to flip me the bird, you may just want to fly the coop for this one.

PS: My wife made teriyaki wings tonight, so the topic’s on my mind (and in my belly).

My favourite pieces parts pieces are the fingers. Buffalo style.

I love a nice juicy breast. Breaded, smothered with butter, then baked to perfection.

Breast and liver for me. Breast baked, liver fried.

Any of the dark meat. That, or battered tenders. My partner and I have talked about starting a blog about buffalo chicken. I do a lot of interesting buffalo chicken recipes.

@jonsblond: Is the butter melted in advance of the baking and drizzled on top?

@cprevite I usually melt the butter then drizzle on top before baking. you are correct

Chicken thighs for a meal and chicken drumsticks for snacks, bbq or friend. Aside from the joints, I like the livers fried in spicy batter and dipped in honey, the little hearts too.

Though good the thigh is my least favorite but a grilled breast, marinated and char-broiled drumstick or seasoned wing are all awesome!

Without doubt, my favorite piece is the thigh. I like it broiled mostly these days. Back in the bad old days, I loved it fried with cream gravy and rice.

A close second to me is buffalo wings. I saute the wings in butter. Then I drench them in Frank’s Red Hot Sauce and re-saute them. I serve them with crisp celery and my homemade blue choose dressing. Yum, yum!

Buffalo wings, grilled leg quarters with BBQ sauce, and fried chicken of almost any kind (but dark meat preferred).

Hindquarters grilled with BBQ sauce.
Cut up whole fryer if I am making southern fried chicken, mashed potatos and gravy.
Deep fried gizzards and hearts is a staple for after party.
Beer can chicken on the grill.
Chicken breast baked and served on a kaiser roll with lettuce, tomato and chinese mustard.

There are so many good ways to make chicken that I can’t pick just one.

I have no favourite. I love chicken and turkey, and while some may favour some parts over others, I eat it all. Chest, thighs, whatever.

One thing I love above anything else when it comes to chicken…when it’s spicy. Love me some extra hot chicken pieces, haha. But if it ain’t, I’ll scarf it down anyways. With gravy, ketchup, human fingers, BBQ, whatever man.

Thighs, fried by Popeye’s. Yes, I know. It’s a heart attack waiting to happen. I don’t care. I will be eating them Sunday night, along with my husband’s killer home made mac & cheese. My delayed birthday dinner! Yummylicious.

Wow. Now that’s some serious chicken love.

Seems most folk like a good thigh (except @Cruiser), and Buffalo is the flavor to beat.

I used to be strictly a dark meat guy, until I started eating the boneless breasts we sell at the farm. All-natural, antibiotic free, etc. They’re deliciously moist.

@cprevite Yes, some beer gardens in Thailand and the Phillippines have them. They are barbecued skewered in sticks in front of you while a case of beer bottles gets replaced with a new one once you and your friends finish them. There is nothing so sweet, juicy and soft like BBQ’d chicken asses on a stick! Lol.
