I have Windows Vista on my laptop. Does anyone know how to fix this at home? Or do I need to get professional help?

This error is kind of hard to fix. I’m gonna try and give you some help because I encountered this problem a while ago. How often does it show up? Do you have to do something for the error to pop up? Like start up a program or something? It might be from something you lately installed.
Which new software you just installed on your computer. It seems to be caused by one of these programs but i’m not quite sure in your case. It might be Nero, Vegas Movie Studio, etc. It also might be from this program Intel ViiV Software if you do have it?
I suggest you try disabling Data Execution Prevention short for (DEP). Launch the command prompt and type this – bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff
Reboot and see if the error goes?
Another thing that might be triggering this error is when you try viewing pictures or videos. Do this – Go to My Computer and click on Tools- Folder Options. Then on the view tab, check the Always show icons, never thumbnails box.
Try the command prompt step first and reboot, see if the error goes. As i said before, if you have Nero try updating or re-installing it.
Keep me posted!
Jeez, I suck at computer terminology and programmes. Okay, I’m gonna try and do the stuff you said above and see if it works, and I’ll let you know. Thanks a tonne @Tbag :D
eh, shucks it was nothin’ :D Glad to help, yeah do let me know! Hope it works out for you @MilkyWay
