For iPhone users: If you hold your finger down on the screen while in safari does a black bubble appear that says action?

I have never had this happen until just now. It happens on any area of the screen, but I can’t figure out why. First, the screen dims, then the word action appears.

What website do you have open and where do you press? I’ve never seen that, but if you tell me, I’ll try it too.
I just tried a different website, and it seems to only happen on fluther.
Well, if I press down on an active link – like a question – and hold, I get the title and link pop up in a little black-ish speech-bubble-like shape, but it doesn’t say ‘action’ and it doesn’t happen if I press elsewhere.
yes, I get that too – it displays the URL address right? This bubble looks just like that except all it says is action.
yes, that’s the one…...but I don’t get ‘action’ showing up.
And I tried looking in settings to see if there’s anything there that could trigger it, but don’t see anything.
I just did it. It seems to happen only when it selects the whole page. I’m pretty sure its nothing to worry about. :)
it happens to me occasionaly too. It is only on Fluther I think.
yep. When I do it in the corner of the screen or something.
same thing happens on news.bbc.co.uk , but only once I’ve zoomed in….....I’m thinking it’s when you have a page of text and you hold/lock on to the touch screen and the action is just to let you know you can move the page up/down/across…....pure speculation, but it rationalises it in my head :)
Does something else in the 2.0 version :-)
@glial
What? Copy and paste?
I have already said too much :-)
Nah….not at all…...besides, if you say ‘A’, you have to say ‘B’...(saying that doesn’t translate very well)
It’s only happened on fluther so far. It happens when I hold on the side rt side (as if I’m scrolling).
it happens on many sites for me. I always thought it was just telling u that what u r pressing performs an action. And on fluther since you can scroll the screen I just assumed they considered that an action as well.
alot of the time the corner performs an action to, on some web apps it will allow u to scroll. On your home screen if u have more then one page of icons and tap the lower corner it will slide to the next page of icons too.
this has happened for me on any site, and its been happening since i got my iPhone, I like it
