A movie that left you speechless in a good way. Made you feel good and moved you. For me it has to be ‘Legends of the fall’. It was achingly beautiful. Just amazing.

Well, most movies, since I don’t talk during them.
No movie has ever made me speechless after, but some movies have amazed me. They are the typical popular movies like The Matrix.
Benjamin Button had that effect on me.
So did My Sister’s Keeper
And the last Harry Potter movie. I wept openly during the scene with Severus Snape.
Legends of the Fall is a good one.
So is Vertigo
@Michael_Huntington Nooooooo Ben, I’ll buy mooooo’! XD
Never been speechless by a movie…but one that fits what this question asks, Sleepy Hollow. It’s a very pretty looking movie, nice and dark but like, elegantly nice and dark, or something.
Fight Club… The credits rolled, I watched them all, the screen turned blank, I sat there for 20 minutes in silence, then played it all over again.
gonna watch it again now
@poisonedantidote I’ve been resisting Fight Club for years now. It just doesn’t seem like my kind of movie, but everyone on Fluther has said how great it is, and I do really like Edward Norton. Maybe I’ll have to go ahead and watch it.
@Kardamom Cmon, give it a chance. Even if it’s not your cup of tea, it’s well made and very intelligent. I’m sure you’ll appreciate it.
And hell yeah, Edward Norton! You know he rocks!
@Kardamom It’s probably not for you. I would recommend it for young men and people who dislike materialism, the modern male identity, and don’t like authority. It can’t hurt to watch it, but you probably wont think it’s that great.
EDIT: Edward Norton is probably the best actor I have ever seen, In fight club he IS a little office worker, in American history X he IS a big tough mean nazi, when I see him in a film, I don’t see him, I always see the character, after the first 20 seconds of screen time, I forget about Edward Norton and see only the character.
(my room wall)
@Symbeline I just hope it’s not of the same caliber as Pulp Fiction, which everyone in the world seems to have loved, but I loathed.
I think I’ll give it a try, and I’ll try not to be too critical about it, even if I end up not liking it.
Are there any scenes of Edward Norton without his shirt on? Ha Ha. I could probably put up with that!
@Kardamom Put your mind at ease, both are completely different. Seriously. (I do love PF though, but trust me, these are freaks of different breeds)
@Kardamom “Are there any scenes of Edward Norton without his shirt on?”
There sure is :P
PS; if anyone knows other movies with Norton without his shirt on, let me know…:D
@poisonedantidote Well then, you just sold me on it.
@Symbeline it seems like Ed was shirtless, at least briefly, in both The Illusionist and The Painted Veil. But maybe I was just hoping that was the case : – P
The Illusionist…really need to watch that again. Been too long. Loved him in American History X too, but that big ol Swastika on his chest is slightly disturbing.
Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog.
Mood whiplash so unbelievable I sat dumbfounded. Then I thought over everything that came before and realized it was all perfectly consistent.
Movies that left me speechless:
Apocalypse Now
2001: A Space Odyssey
Fight Club
Reservoir Dogs
Memento
The Passion Of The Christ
Memento. It was the mental equivalent of me crapping my pants.
@Symbeline Dang, you dig Sleepy Hollow too? Wouldn’t it be nice to have all jellies party on Hallooween in a place like that?
E.T
2001 A Space Odyssey
Raiders of the Lost Ark
An Affair To Remember
The Sound Of Music
Pee Wee Herman’s Adventure? Lol.
V for Vendetta. In the beginning your thinking he’s a bit insane, and cruel with no real concern except for his agenda but then you realize the parts of him that is a monster was made by the blind society that ignored all the wrongs so they could continue to live in harmony. So he had to be outrageous so people could see that they were living like sheep headed for the slaughter.
It reminded me of the novel, Animal Farm.
Everything Is Illuminated. Good movie! ♥ And @Pandora you should try reading the graphic novel! :)
This wasn’t a good feeling, but “The Deer Hunter” left me and two of my friends silent for a while.
The Deer Hunter left me silent for a while. Then, my friends woke me up.
I hate that movie
Legends Of The Fall is in my top 3 of all time favorite movies =)
Most recently, Soul Surfer really moved me.
Tears of the sun
Charlie Wilson’s war
@mazingerz88 Hell yeah man. That would be quite some party. I get to be the Picketty Witch!
@Symbeline I’ll be the Headless Horseman but in my version, I also have a headless horse so I keep banging all over the place! Yeehaa!
@HungryGuy I still haven’t gathered the guts to see that one.
@Ayesha – Ayyyup! You’ll need plenty of guts to see that one :-p
the shrine…now that was a damn good scary movie!!
