And why do you use that particular OS.

Windows on my laptop and the one that starts with a V on my home computer.
Welcome to Fluther.
At work I use Windows XP, since that is still (for the time being) the corporate standard. At home I have Windows 7.
Windows 7. I also have a system using AmigaOS 3.9 which I love and believe to be one of the greatest OS ever. Seriously in the late 80’s going from an Amiga to a PC was like stepping into the dark ages.
I have a computer here at work still on Windows 95 and it is so trouble free!! Slow but never ever freezes!
Windows XP, Vista, and 7. Just prefer them over any Apple product… And Apple is totally the devil
Old desktop – XP: reliable, works with every device, easy to troubleshoot
Laptop – the detestable Vista: intrusive, buggy and refuses to talk to any peripherals
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. I also run Windows XP Professional sp3 in Virtualbox, because my scanner has no Windows 7 drivers.
Why? Because I am quite a Gamer, and Windows simply is the only viable gaming platform. Then there is the fact of extensive custimisation by free software of your own choice. And the fact that it runs on any hardware.
I detest Apple. I have banned all apple products from my machine. No bloated Quicktime player, no iTunes, no Safari browser. I even deleted the Quicktime Server part of Adobe After Effects.
Windows 7 on the netbook.
Vista on the dead laptop.
Android on the phone.
Handlebar on the bicycle.
Work: XP
Home: Windows 7
Phone: Android
Work: XP
Home: Windows 7
tablet: iOS (iPad 2)
Phone: iOS (but had Android and desperately want to get back there)
Home: Mac OSX
Phone: Android
Ubuntu, gives me way more control over my computer than any other OS, is easy to use, really drives innovation, looks great, is made by a lot of friendly, accessible people, and it’s free :)
Home: Mac OS-X
Work: Windows 7 because they make me.
Home – Win 7 mostly as I can’t get WINE to handle certain things, especially some of my games. However, I do use various live distros of Linux for various purposes.
Work – HAASCNCCONTROL, and a couple of different versions of Osaka Kiko’s control systems.
Phone – Android, because when I tried iOS it was far too limited, far too screwy, a bit less reliable/stable, and generally inferior.
Windows 7 Home Premium.
I’ve been messing around with Ubuntu.
Windows XP, because that’s what my machine came with.
