Curly heads: Do you like your hair?

My hair was straight as a child. When I hit puberty, it started to darken and get wavy and eventually – curly.

I hated it for years and had no idea what to do with it. Gel? No. Blow dry? Nope. Afro? Gah!

When I hit thirty, it started to loosen up a little and I started to like it. Now that I’m pushing forty, I keep it short and I like it.

Meh. I prefer it to straight hair, but I’m not particularly attached to it. I like the ease of washing short hair, rather than the amount of lather I had to work up to wash my fro, so I generally keep it short.

Sometimes. If I have time to style it properly. Otherwise, I’d rather have silky, straight hair that I could just run a brush through and walk out the door.

If it turns mah woman on, I like it. Otherwise, eh. But the ladies seem to like it all wavy. If it weren’t for that, I’d cut it short.

I do, especially if I’m somewhere humid. If I pay attention after I wash it, then I don’t have to do anything to it. Otherwise I still have to curl it to style it, but then it stays curled.

It’s a love-hate relationship. When it dries out the way I want – it’s simply gorgeous. I love when each of the curls are large and clearly defined. But, if it frizzes up or flattens out, which seems to happen more often than not, I find my hair to be a pain to deal with. Most of the time, I just brush the curls out.

Anyone know any good products to use that will help make curly hair even more beautiful?

It’s ok, but I just wish it wasn’t so damn coarse.

When it’s longer, yes, when it’s conservatively short (not military short mind you), no. It goes alfalfa on me when short.

I’m not crazy about it.

Yes, I wear my hair messy, cause it works for me. Thank gawd!

haha I’m the same @blueberry_kid…I have wavy and curly hair at the same time…it really has a personality of its own. But I find men with curly hair super cute.
