Are these vitamins good enough?

Asked by johnny0313x (1860points) August 26th, 2011

I’ve been taking these…two of them every day. I was just wondering, since they are kinda for kids (and i’m 25 lol) are they good enough for me? I don’t like regular vitamins.

You first decided to take them, then asked a bunch of people online?

Vitamins can be helpful, harmful or just a waste of money – but it really depends on your precondition.

Only your doctor can tell you.

That label was confusing to me. Here are the basics. The recommendations are the same for 4+ year olds as adults. I think the values given are in one gummy? So you should take two I think if I understand the label right. But, even if you only take one that’s fine assuming your diet is at least semi decent. There is really no need to take an “adult” multivitamin vs a childrens with a few exceptions. 1. Menstruating women need iron, and are many times deficient. Many childrens vitamins don’t have iron. But, I assume you are a man by your username. 2. If you know you are deficient in a particular vitamin or mineral, meaning a blood test to confirm, many times a regular old multivitamin is not enough of the particular vitamin,

Multi-vitamins are good for you. I have been taking one a day for the past 20 years. I first bought my vitamins from a Dollar General Store, where they are much cheaper. A pharmacist told me to only buy vitamins at a drugstore. Most of these vitamins are the name brand, but they have the drugstore’s label on it. I cannot tell the difference, other than the price.

Also, kids vitamins are for kids. I assume you take two, in order to reach the daily requirement of an adult dosage.

I would talk this over with your pharmacist, to be sure.

Kids vitamins are chewable and sweet. The vitamin is the same.

“Multivitamin Gummies”? That is candy with a few vitamins mixed in. The first two ingredients are glucose syrup and sucrose.
