Are you impressed if someone can hit the high note in The Star Spangled Banner?

Yes, if they can actually hit it and not screech it. I’m more impressed when they don’t try to sing it like a long, drawn out, melodramatic ballad.
No. I don’t think it is difficult to do, at all, if you sing the song as it was meant to be sung… and not with a bunch of garbage flourishes and whatever spins an artist wants to put on it.
I’m impressed whenever someone can sing well, no matter the song. Especially when you’ve never heard someone sing before and they really surprise you, all I can think is, “Wow, I never knew s/he could sign like that!”
Very. But I am more impressed with people who wait till the end of the song to clap or cheer.
People who do that early annoy the hell out of me.
@filmfann I agree about the clapping early part. I’ve never understood why they do that. I think it’s disrespectful. You should remain silent until the end.
Yes! Only if it sounds really pretty and is in the person’s range. However, you must act it, if you hit it and you act like its no big deal than the audience will think that it is no big deal. You know what I mean?
