How do I find out if nationalparalegal.edu is an accredited program?

I saw that…I just worry that they just have a bunch of good looking pages to those links. Someone can’t get away with calling themselves the US Dept of Education if they aren’t, can they?

I doubt they can—they could get away with it until they got caught. The DOE wouldn’t want their reliability attached to something that’s shady.

I do find it notable that they emphasize their accountability and accreditation throughout their web site. They really advertise that—that can be a good thing, or not. That’s one reason I asked “exactly who accredits them?” There are different accreditation agencies and they accredit different things than others do. It sounds like the web site is accredited by the Distance Education “experts” but do the Paralegal education “experts” (if there’s a such agency) accredit them? You could find out what the Paralegal education accrediting agency is and find out which programs they have approved if that’s what you want.

My school’s accredited by 2 different agencies—I went through the process and learned a lot about the difference between the two agencies. Also, my U degree program is not accredited by the national agency for that degree, but the U is very accredited… that gave me a different perspective on the accreditation process.
