The President will “unveil” his astonishing jobs plan next Thursday night.
If he talks too long he will compete with Saints vs Packers, two big teams in the season opener.
I have heard the Job Creation speech about half a dozen times by two or three presidents in my life. No reason to believe that this one will not be breathtaking bullshit like all the others.
I will be watching the ball game.
What about you?

Neither, I will be working.
I don’t care for Thursday football, except for Thanksgiving and maybe Christmas when it is on Thursday.
I’d rather listen Madoff deliver a speech on ethical investment practices.
I’ll probably be watching Star Trek DVDs. Hope for the future and all that. I prefer to read the text of the speech the next day.
I would rather watch paint dry than to watch football or any other ball-related sports or team sports. The only sports that I like are figure skating and gymnastics, with the occasional diving meet or Olympic luge run thrown in.
I can’t say that politics are interesting or fun or even exciting except during the Gore/Bush presidential campaign, but what happens in the political arena is very important, so I’ll be watching the President.
President…wait! Did you say Thursday? Nova should be one then!
Neither…I will be in Atlanta at a Zoo conference rubbing elbows with the fine folks who manage all our fine Zoo’s around the world.
Are you kidding me? We have a Green Bay Packer mailbox. what do you think? ;)
And how’s the Sedjwick county zoo doing @Cruiser ?
I try to watch or listen to all the President’s speeches. I only watch one football game a year (the Super Bowl).
I missed the President? I was watching the 49ers carve up the Chargers….oops
I’ll probably be on fluther reading about the president’s speech and wondering what sports the teams people are talking about play. Besides, I think I’m canceling my satellite service soon.
@Dutchess_III From all appearances, they seem to be doing fine. Anything I can find out for you about that facility?
I rather watch Jersey Shore. When’s that on?
“THE” President? Of what? I’ll take the ball game.
Neither. I would never watch a president’s speech, and I don’t find watching sports particularly interesting.
I’ve heard that Obama is going to address Congress at 7:30 p.m. So he may only mess up the pregame coverage. But, to answer the question, I have Ryan Grant in one of my Fantasy Football Leagues. What do you think? Go Big Blue!
I missed all of it. Rick turned on the game so I went outside and started reading….SHOGUN!!! It’s been a long time since I’ve read it. : )
Thursday is the opening game, @Dutchess_III. Rick was most likely watching a pre-season game. lol
I don’t care. IWe’re moving into football season and I’ll tolerate losing every Sunday of my life for the next few months…no camping, no nothing because football is on, but I’ll be damned if I’m going to lose other days too.
