Foot tickling, some people love it, some don't, why?

Asked by mazingerz88 (29220points) September 2nd, 2011

I love my feet tickled all the time and truly enjoy the sensation. But my SO won’t even allow hers to be lightly poked just once. What gives? : )

I absolutely hate having my feet tickled. If someone tickles me, I am going to kick them in the face.

For some folks (myself being on that list) tickling, even lightly, is so intense that it’s painful.

I don’t like having my feet tickled. Now rubbed. that’s a different matter.

I don’t mind it.

I love it. I’m a very tactile person, so any kind of “loving” touch, even playful tickling, is sensuous and inviting. (But of course she has to play “footsie” with me first, with her high heels, under the table, to get my shiny black leather men’s dress shoes off of me). ;)

I love stroking and tickling, I have a very high tolerance to being tickled, with the exception of some serious rib gouging and that horrible knee squeeze sensation. haha

My feet are not overly ticklish sooo, tickle away. ;-)

How does anyone like being tickled? That’s insane. It’s like torture. Perhaps it has something to do with how sensitive/ticklish you are?

@Coloma Ah yes, if I have a goose, I’ll train it to tickle my feet all the time. Nice!

It is a great excuse for me to kick the tar out of someone. :)

I have a fetish for exotic grass massage, haha…yep, I like to mingle in my Zebra grasses naked, try it sometime, you’ll like it.

I hate to be tickled. A cute, brief tickle is one thing, but sustained tickling is gonna get you punched or kicked.

Oh gosh I hate being tickled! I cannot take it! One time when my fiance tickled me I kicked him. Kind of hard to :S

I quickly found out the wife doesn’t appreciate her feet being tickled. I ate through a straw for several weeks after, that’s all i’m gonna say.

@Seelix right. Tickling is a surefire way to bring out my violent streak. It’s like my self defense mode kicks into high gear.

JilltheTooth's avatar

@ANef_is_Enuf and @Seelix : I used to get into a lot of trouble when my mean big sisters would lightly poke me in the ribs and I’d go berserk. The ‘rents never quite believed my stories of them holding me down and tickling me til I threw up, and that’s why I went nuts with a light poke.

@ucme Oh my, that’s awful.
