Why do people imagine that the Buckeyes will not win the Big Ten this year?

Sure, they had some trouble with amoral players and an enabling coach.
But the coach is gone, and that bottom feeding punk Terrell Pryor is gone.
His accomplices are on the bench for four more games and I would bet they won’t play another minute in their college careers.
So that is that.
And so what? They still have have world class athletes ready to prove something to the world.
I say the Bucks win the Big Ten and go to a top bowl game.
Anybody disagree?

I highly doubt that the Buckeyes won’t go to a bowl game, because they are almost always a top 15 school, but… they aren’t part of the SEC. The SEC has won 7 of the last 12 championships. Chances are, an SEC team will win the championship this year. Arkansas, which I am SUPER excited about, is loaded this year.
Avid follower of Buckeye football, and somewhat privy to inside info. Here’s what I can tell you:
-The four suspended players will most definitely play again. They may end up losing their go to starting positions (extremely unlikely with Posey and Adams), but they will play again.
-You may not like Terrelle Pryor (most of Buckeye nation doesn’t), but the fact of the matter is without him at QB, OSU would have a tough time winning the Big Ten even without everyone else suspended and with Tressel still at the helm. Pryor was arguably the best player in college football coming into this year, and the replacement/s are a 25 year old QB who has very low talent or a true freshmen who will likely be very good someday, but probably isn’t going to be a world breaker this year.
-I love what Fickell has done so far with the program, but there hasn’t been a first year coach… I think ever, to go undefeated. Winning their conference in the first year is practically unheard of (I don’t want to see unprecedented because I think someone has done it). JT went 7–6 his first year (counting bowl game and M*chigan win). Woody Hayes went 4–3-2 his first year and didn’t win the Big Ten until his 4th season (while people in Columbus talked about firing him).
OSU will be good this year, they are almost easily the most talented team in the Big Ten. They definitely have a good chance at winning the Big Ten. But if you are realistically looking at it, at this point you have to like Nebraska and Wisconsin’s chances better.
that said, GO BUCKS :D
The BUCKEYES?! Here’s why I say no. Continuity, continuity, continuity. They have none right now.
