Okay. In the last few days I received so many mails from bots.
Most they were like this one:
Hi Dear,
I am “The Unknown Spamer”, 18 years old and daughter of late Sir givin Edward, a reputable businessman who died in a hospital on 12th, october 2010.
I lost my mother when I was 4 years old.
I have all documents of my late father business and some money that is left in the bank. The total fund is Two Million Five Hundrad Thousand United States Dollars. (USD 2, 500,000.00). The money is still in the bank and l am with all the documents.
Please I need your assistance in the following ways:
1.To help me get this money out of the bank and invest it in your country.
2.To help me to come over to your country to continue with my education.
3.To stand as my business partner until I am out of school to handle any investment.
If you can help me with these three things, I am promising you 20% of the total money as
soon as you receive the money in any account of your choice. Please you can contact me with my private email for more details ( seems rather not okay to add e-mails )
Your suggestions and ideas will be highly valued.
I am waiting to hear from you.
Yours truly
“The Unknown Spamer”
Names and emails were different but I received a lot of them lately. Does anyone knows what’s up?

Find some discussion about this here and here.
I got this letter this morning too.
Damn it! that’s the 14th time this has happened to me now. I knew she would go behind my back and give you all the same deal. I should have never sent her that 10.000 deposit.
Spammers really seem to love us at the moment. :(
I think I remember getting that one years ago.
REVENGE
you probably shouldn’t try this at home
Please excuse the ignorance and irrelevance of the question.
@Symbeline and @koanhead, I know how to cut and paste, but how do you guys do that with the red letters – eg: here and here(symbeline) and REVENGE (koanhead)?
Press and hold the shift key, and then press the 2 on your keyboard. A list of users active in the question appears, then just click on the name you want. If they don’t, (it happens in a question that has a lot of answers, and the user you’re wanting to tag is too far up ahead) press the first letter of their username to bring up a list of all users in that thread who’s name starts with that letter.
My keyboard is set to French though, so maybe some of that won’t work?
@Zephyra – those are clickable links. the @koanhead goes to my profile. The “REVENGE” one goes to a site called “the 419 eater”.
As @Symbeline points out, any time you type @ followed by a username in the thread you automagically get a link. If you look at the little blurb at the bottom of the text editing box under “Answer this question” you’ll see “Style your text!” with some examples. To make a link, you enter the text of the link (REVENGE), surround it in quotes (“REVENGE”), append a colon (“REVENGE”:) and then add the url (www.the419eater.com) Note that urls by themselves also get automagically turned into links:
www.google.com
Whoops- also note that if I misspell your name @Zephyra instead of @ZEPHYRA it does not linkify!
That’s what comes of typing too fast :/
Oh wait…links. Find a website, or a page or whatever, and copy the address from the address bar and paste it into your answer. Underneath your typing box, copy the “link” and paste that right in front of your intended URL.. Then type whatever you want instead of the default link.
Thanks for your answers, I’m trying to take it all in, a bit on the slow side!
Yeah sorry lol, At first I thought you were asking something else lol. Let us know if you need more help.
I remember asking about how to link things before, too. XD
watching silently to figure out this stuff without others knowing I didn’t know
@woodcutter you DO know, you are just pretending not to!
@ZEPHYRA It is tricky, and often it takes several different explanations to really “get” it.
Type this: ” title of your link ” : URL address. But, remove all the spaces.
(quote mark/title/quote mark/colon/URL)
So, ” fluther ” : www. fluther. com becomes
fluther.
