I think I have the 24 hour stomach flu and every3 hours I feel like I’m gonna hurl but I hold it in and it goes away. Also I need to do something that’s very important that I dont want to miss what should I do?

Better a vacancy than a bad tenant.
will it hurt any though I just hate puking
It definitely does NOT matter if you puke or hold it in – whatever feels better to you. Vomiting causes a loss of electrolytes & fluid. The virus in your body is going to go away just because you throw up. Some people feel better with an “empty” stomach under these circumstances, but that is an individual decision. Good luck & I hope you feel better.
You should probably try your hardest not to throw up, if you do it will be harder not to the next time
I meant to say, the virus ISN’T going to go away either way…
It’s fine up to the point when it starts shooting out your nose.
If it’s food poisoning and not flu, you might be better off throwing up and getting rid of whatever you body is rejecting. Nobody likes to vomit, but it is your body’s way of telling you something bad has to go. I agree with robhubbs. the virus is going to run it’s course either way. I hope you feel better soon. You could try taking some Emetrol(sp?) You can find it in most drug stores, and it helps with nausea.
The less stomach acid in your mouth and eroding your enamel and esophagus, the better…
Take little breaks from your important event and puke it up in the bathroom, even if you have to force it. You’ll feel better.
Scamp has got it right.
Its a protective reflex. Just as you pull your hand from a hot surface, cough to stop yourself choking, blink to protect your eyes etc vomiting is there for a reason. It might not be pleasent but it is doing you good. Its going to take your body longer to resolve the infection.
Plus you will instantly feel better and be in better shape for whet ever you want to do later.
