What kind of dog was in Silence of the Lambs?

I think her name was Precious, but what type of dog is she? On other forums, some say she’s either a bichon frise or a toy poodle.

IMDB has nothing about what kind of dog was used.

Any ideas?

It looks like a toy poodle. Bichons have longer bodies and shorter legs. They also tend to be a little fuller on the body.
