When remembering 9/11, why not show people celebrating? Why are some things not mentioned?

I did not watch a whole lot of TV regarding remembering 9/11.
So maybe I missed something.
But having said it, I never saw anything like this in the broadcasts.

Are there certain things we should not remember? Why not?

Why would we want to remember people in other countries celebrating the death of innocent lives?!
That’s terrible. As much as these civilians hate America, I am disgusted and shocked to see how people can “celebrate” the deaths of innocent people elsewhere, whether they are at odds with America or not. That says a lot about the civilization of a people, and to me, these people are not civilized, no matter how old or revered their culture is.
That’s what makes Americans and some other cultures more “civilized” (humanized) than other cultures. When innocent people die over there, I don’t think we would see mass celebrations taking place here. Even the Chinese people, with their turbulent and oftentimes violent history and long civilization, would never “celebrate” in droves the deaths of innocent men, women, and children. That’s just barbaric.
Lots of Americans cheered when Osama was taken out. I’m glad he was taken out. I’m glad Adolf is gone too. Keep in mind that they think we are just as evil as we think they are.
War and killing is always ugly, but a certain detachment from it is developed in many many people.
You know @josie I can understand the passion a country may have towards celebrating the tragic events of a perceived enemy as 10 years ago most of us did the same. Since you didn’t see the 9/11 memorials you missed the video footage of George Bush at ground zero on top of a demolished fire truck attempting to address an obvious tragedy while thousands of first responders were screaming and yelling at the top of their lungs for retaliation and retribution for the past days events. That blood-lust echoed what an entire country was feeling those first weeks and months after 9/11.
What I find perplexing is 10 years later the level of disgust and disdain for this very war on terror so many of us clamored for??
It is in poor taste at a memorial focused on the victims to remember people celebrating.

One word: Iraq.
I remember that video. It makes me unreasonably angry, and makes me want to nuke them all.
It’s better not shown.
For one, I think it would be in poor taste to have videos of people essentially celebrating other people’s loved ones’ deaths on the day of memorial.
Also, I think it would just generate more hate that we really don’t need. A lot of people here ignorantly generalize and consider anyone ‘over there’ or Muslim an enemy by default, and I think videos like that would just stir the hatred and blood-lust. Just more fuel for war.
