Do you remember the television series Dark Shadows?

Oh, my, yes. I used to watch it every day after school I had a thing for Barnabas (although I don’t know why).

I’ve heard of it, and apparently Tim Burton is directing a movie adaptation.

I remember it.
I noticed recently that Netflix currently has at least some of them available to view online (for subscribers, about $8/month for unlimited viewing of the things they offer that way).

I used to watch that when I was a little kid. It came on during the late afternoon, but it was still scary to us (it’s kind of funny and frightening at the same time that little kids don’t seem to be afraid of anything these days and regularly watch R-rated gore filled movies). Your biggest challenge is going to come from the fact that some of the episodes have more than one episode number associated with it, according to the wikipedia site (scroll down to where it says episode numbering).

I watch The Nanny on Youtube and their wikipedia entry has a complete listing and synopsis of each show, in order. You might be able to watch some of the episodes on Youtube and chat with whomever posted some of the episodes, they might be able to give you some advice on where/how to buy the exact episodes you need, or at least give you a better chronological list of episodes.

Yes, when I was in the second grade.

We didn’t have a TV growing up, but my Grandparents did. When we were off school during the summer or something, we’d get to watch it when we visited them. As children, we thought it was pretty cool, but since I only ever saw maybe a dozen episodes and it was forty years ago or more, I really don’t remember.

Tim Burton is doing the new movie and Johnnie Depp is Barnabas Collins!
