I’ve unclicked the boxes under the notifications. But I still keep getting emailed. And everytime I click save settings and go back to it, the boxes are checked again. Got advice?

Not much of an answer just seconding what you’ve experienced.
I just tried the same thing “my account” > “notifications” > uncheck various boxes > save and sure enough, when I open a new window and go back they’re all checked.
Try doing all of that, then clearing your cache (history/footprints/cookies) and restarting your browser. If it’s still a problem after that, please let me know.
@augustlan Just for kicks I tried again, unchecking the first box, clearing the cache (did not clear history or cookies) and restarting the browser (Mac Safari 5.1). Same result. Also tried logging in/out to the same conclusion.
I’m not concerned about it just curious and had a few minutes to help out. Unfortunately that’s about to give way to bed for the night; hopefully someone else will have time to do a full clear and check it.
I have this problem too. It happens in Firefox, Chrome, and Safari. The problem is with Fluther.
I’d love to get this fixed. I mistakenly set PM notifications to go to my ultra private email… nothing like spamming yourself =/
@XOIIO What else can she say? I’m not “in the know”, but it appears to me the founders have abandoned Fluther. Weren’t there a half dozen or so staff members at one point? How many are there now?
@FutureMemory Not abandoned… just not working here full time. They do work on stuff, but it’s just in their spare time now.
@augustlan So, when can we get an update when this problem has been permanently fixed? Or I’ll just join Yahoo Answers :P
@augustlan Hand me a mod job, css, html and all that junk is fairly easy. :P
Hi everybody, I’m working on it!
Aha! I think I figured it out… stand by.
Okay—it should work now. Enjoy everybody!
Poof.
YAY- I just tried it and it works now!
What was the glitch, and why was I getting a “Broadcast” response when I tried to change my notifications before the fix?
Is anyone else turned on by that?
@Brian1946 Not too long ago we turned off IM chat integration (because it was too glitchy, and almost no one used it), and this was a remnant of a settings change that should have been disabled in the form as part of that change.
@ben I love it when you talk dirty code.
@ben Now logging onto Fluther will be such a surprise. Is there a Fluther App available?
