How do I turn off my autocorrect on my IPad?

Asked by JLeslie (65743points) September 16th, 2011

I assume it is in settings, but I cannot figure it out. I have to turn off the spelling function on this thing or gailcalled is going to flunk me on all my essays.

I have done it- really is it so psychotic you are better off without it. Let me get my iPad and tell you where it is.

In settings go to GENERAL> Keyboard>Auto-Correction.

Perhaps you already know this, but when JLeslie tried to type “in-depth” with her iPad, it auto-corrected to “in-death”, which I think is one of the reasons why she posted this question. ;-o
